Built with a rugged black KTL-coated zinc diecast shell, brass contacts with 0.2 µm hard-gold plating over nickel, and a durable polyurethane boot, it delivers low contact resistance (≤ 3 mΩ), strong dielectric strength (1.5 kVdc), and long service life (> 1000 mating cycles).

Ideal for building and repairing high-performance XLR cables, it supports solder termination and accepts cable outside diameters from 3.5 to 8.0 mm with an improved chuck-style strain relief for higher pull-out force and better bend protection. Compliant with IEC 61076-2-103 and UL 94 V-0, rated 7.5 A per contact at < 50 V, and specified for -30 °C to +80 °C operation with IP40 protection, it’s a dependable choice for commercial-grade signal connections where durability, grounding continuity, and secure latching matter.
