The Neutrik NP2XX-SILENT-0 Stardust Edition is a male 2-pole 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) phone plug for instrument and guitar cables. Its integrated REED-technology silent switch automatically shorts and mutes the cable when the instrument is changed under load, preventing pops and squeals.
The connector uses brass contacts with 0.2 micro m gold plating and solder-contact wiring for a specified wire size of 1 mm² or 18 AWG. Its black shell combines TPE and PA6 with a PP and PA6 bushing, polyamide insert and POM strain relief. It accepts cable outer diameters from 4 to 7 mm and operates from -20 °C to +65 °C.
