Audix ADX-D4 Dynamic Instrument Microphone Hypercardioid 40Hz-18kHz - Single

The D4 is a high-quality dynamic instrument microphone designed for live sound, studio recording, and broadcast capture of drums, percussion, and low-frequency instruments. Measuring 100 mm long with a compact 21.5 mm base diameter and 39 mm grille diameter, it features a precision-machined aluminum body with a black hard-coat finish plus a dent-resistant steel wire-mesh grille to ensure road-ready durability and consistent performance.

Ideal for floor toms, rack toms, cajon, djembe, small kick drums, bass cabinets, Leslie bottom, and brass and woodwinds, it delivers a tight hypercardioid polar pattern with more than 20 dB off-axis rejection for excellent isolation and feedback control, making it suitable for loud stages and clean multi-mic setups. With a VLM Type D very low mass diaphragm, wide 40 Hz to 18 kHz response, transformerless balanced low-impedance output, and maximum SPL of at least 144 dB, it captures punchy lows and articulate attack while remaining interference-free on long XLR cable runs and requiring no phantom power.
